Govardhan Puja was performed at Sridwarikadhish temple in Mathura on Friday. At 10 in the morning, Shri Giriraj Maharaj made of cow dung was worshiped with chanting of mantras.

Annakoot Mahotsav was celebrated on Friday at Thakur Dwarkadhish temple of Pushtimargiya sect of Mathura. Govardhan was made from cow dung in the temple square and worshiped with rituals. Annakoot Mahotsav will be celebrated in the evening after Govardhan Puja amid cheers in the temple. In this, various dishes will be served to Rajadhiraj Dwarkadhish Maharaj. A huge crowd of devotees gathered for the special darshan of Aaradhya. A day before this, with the celebration of Diwali, the temple officials and servants had invited the cow.
Temple head Sudhir Kumar worshiped Govardhan as per the rituals. After that everyone circumambulated Govardhan. In the evening, a grand Anukut was celebrated. Hundreds of devotees came for darshan. According to media in-charge Rakesh Tiwari, Mathura Vrindavan MLA and former minister Shrikant Sharma also visited with his team. Temple officials Valid Ashok Kumar Sharma, Rokadia Satyanarayan Sharma, Ajay Bhatt, Brijesh Chaturvedi, BN Chaturvedi, Banwari Lal, Rajiv Chaturvedi, Rakesh Nagar etc. were present.
